Helsinki offers leisure activities right in the city center or its surroundings in nature.

You can rent a bike, roller skates,  canoe, rowing boat or swimming suit in the summer and skates or skiing equipment in the winter.

In the Helsinki Region in Vantaa there are two popular dancing arenas during summer season:

Backaksen Kartano manor, Ylästöntie 28, Vantaa

The dancing venue is located in “Puimala” which is a former threshing house of the manor full of feeling on Saturday nights till the end of August (open 19–01). Tickets €12.

Helsinki Pavi, Honkanummentie 6, Vantaa

Hugely popular dancing arena (450 square metres) with outdoor terrace. Finland’s leading dance orchestras and singers. Dancing on Wednesdays (open 20-24), Fridays (open 20–00.30) and Sundays (open 17–21.30) until mid-October. Tickets €10–13
