Senate Square and Cathedral

Suomenlinna

Interesting museums

Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma is housed in an extraordinary structure where you can admire the aesthetic qualities of the interior design at the same time as you ponder the displayed works of art. Free entry with Helsinki Card.

The Old Market Hall  and the Hakaniemi Market Hall are the must places offering the finest delicacies in the city.

Churches


Temppeliaukio Church – named Rock Church – is constructed into solid rock with unfinished granite walls and a rolled copper roof. You get the feeling you are inside a modern work of art.
 
Uspenski Cathedral is the largest Orthodox church in Western Europe. It is an impressive, red brick structure with 13 golden cupolas. The interior is vividly decorated with exquisite icons, paintings and chandeliers.
